Introducing Unify - A Framework for Cross Platform Applications

Mobile applications are a huge trend at the moment. But there is one major drawback: You need to develop them from scratch for every-single-platform. That hurts. Web technology seems like a natural choice to develop cross platform and fundamentally increases efficiency during development. This talk is about the richness of Unify applications, the focus of the project and our future plans.

Sebastian Werner is a software developer at Deutsche Telekom AG in Darmstadt, Germany. He develops JavaScript based technologies for about seven years now. Sebastian was one of the initiators and lead engineers of the qooxdoo framework at 1&1 Internet AG. He has a quite unhealthy love with products from Apple. He is passionate about programming in Python. Currently he creates Unify, a new platform to improve efficiency of application developers on smartphones and tablets devices.
